Defacement of property — See Ch. 170.
Any person who tampers with, adjusts, cuts, loosens, removes the cap,
strips, damages or destroys any fire hydrant cover, any fire hydrant apparatus,
any manhole cover, any part of a sewer or water system, any material, bench,
rail, fence or other part of the municipal swimming pool and appurtenances
thereto, or any other public building or any parking meter owned by the Parking
Authority, or any part of any building owned by the Housing Authority, or
any public alarm or signal box or any public utility wires or apparatus, or
otherwise disrupts, removes, damages or destroys any portion or all of any
public utility device or public property of the type indicated in this chapter,
shall be guilty of violation of this chapter.
In prosecution of this chapter it shall not be necessary for the state
to prove that the activities which are the subject of the complaint caused
a disruption or a loss of service, nor that said activities caused any monetary
loss.
