[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the

The purpose of this chapter is to authorize
public servants of the Town of Holland to issue and serve appearance
tickets in connection with violations of state statutes, local laws,
ordinances or rules and regulations of the Town which the public servants
are authorized or required to enforce.
The following public servants of the Town of
Holland are hereby authorized to issue and serve an appearance ticket
with respect to violation of a state statute or a local law, ordinance,
rule or regulation of the Town of Holland that such public servants
are, respectively, required or authorized to enforce:
A.Â
Building Safety Inspector/Zoning Enforcement Officer:
building, zoning, planning, fire prevention and safety or others as
authorized by the Town Board from time to time.
B.Â
Constables: parking and public health, safety and
welfare or others as authorized by the Town Board from time to time.
C.Â
Dog Control Officer: violation of an animal ordinance,
except when preempted by the New York State Agriculture and Markets
Law.

A.Â
An appearance ticket other than for a parking violation
shall be served by certified mail, return receipt requested, or by
personal service.

B.Â
The appearance ticket shall be in the form as the
Town Board of the Town of Holland may authorize from time to time.
C.Â
Appearance
tickets shall be issued and served in accordance with the Criminal
Procedure Law.
