The purpose of this chapter is to authorize the Building and Plumbing Inspector, the Assistant Building and Plumbing Inspector, and the Fire Chief and his designee(s) of the Village of Larchmont to issue and serve appearance tickets, as defined in New York State Criminal Procedure Law, in connection with the enforcement of certain local laws, rules and regulations of the Village of Larchmont and state statutes and codes that they are authorized or required to enforce.
The Building and Plumbing Inspector, the Assistant Building and Plumbing Inspector, and the Fire Chief and his designee(s) of the Village of Larchmont are hereby authorized to issue and serve appearance tickets with respect to violations of local laws, rules and regulations of the Village of Larchmont and state statutes and codes applicable to construction, alteration, repair, installations within, removal, demolition, maintenance, use and occupancy of buildings, structures and property. Such authority shall include, but not be limited to, authority to issue appearance tickets in connection with violations of the New York State Building Code, the New York State Fire Prevention Code, the New York State Property Maintenance Code and Larchmont zoning laws.[1]
