In this article, the following words have the meanings indicated.
To sell or offer to sell any vegetables, fruits, eggs, poultry, meats,
or other farm produce or products.
The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Queen Anne's County.
A license issued by the Clerk to act as a huckster.
This article does not apply to a farmer or grower while:
A person may not act as a huckster in Queen Anne's County unless licensed
by the Clerk.

Issuance of license. The Clerk shall issue a license to each applicant who meets the requirements of Subsection A of this section.
C.
Disposition of fees. The Clerk shall pay the fees collected
under this section to the County Commissioners to be credited to the general
funds of the County.
A.
In general. A person who violates any provision of this
article is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is subject to a fine
of not less than $25 but not exceeding $100 for each violation.
B.
Disposition of fines. All fines collected under this
section shall be paid into the County Treasury and used for the general purposes
of the County.
In this article, the following words have the meanings indicated.
To act as an itinerant or door-to-door peddler or salesperson of
goods, wares, or merchandise, by sample or otherwise.
A license issued by the County Commissioners to act as a peddler.
This article does not apply to any person who is:
A.
Going from door-to-door in any activity or enterprise
that is conducted for and on behalf of any nonprofit, charitable, or eleemosynary
agency or organization;
B.
Going from door-to-door in the sale of farm produce or
seafood of any kind that the person has produced or taken in Queen Anne's
County; or
C.
Selling or delivering newspapers.
A person who is not a resident of Queen Anne's County may not act as
a peddler in Queen Anne's County unless licensed by the County Commissioners.
A.
In general. An applicant for a license shall meet the
requirements of this section.
B.
Application.
(1)
An applicant shall submit to the County Commissioners
an application on the form provided by the County Commissioners.
(2)
The application form shall contain the provisions and
require the information that, in the opinion of the County Commissioners,
may be necessary to keep a proper and complete listing of persons acting as
peddlers in Queen Anne's County.
C.
Bond. An applicant shall file a bond with sureties approved
by the County Commissioners in the amount of $1,000.
E.
Issuance. The County Commissioners shall issue a license
to each applicant who meets the requirements of this section.
A person who violates any provision of this article is guilty of a misdemeanor
and, on conviction, is subject to a fine not exceeding $500 or imprisonment
not exceeding six months, or both for each violation.
