[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of East Goshen 8-15-1972 by Ord. No. 21. Amendments noted where applicable.]
There is hereby created and reconstituted the East Goshen Township Planning Commission.
The membership of the Planning Commission shall consist of seven members to be appointed by the Supervisors.

All members shall serve for a term of four years. Appointment to fill vacancies caused by death, resignation, removal, etc., shall be filled for the balance of the unexpired term.
The qualifications of members of the Commission and its duties and powers shall be as prescribed in the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code Act of July 31, 1966, 247, Article II, Sections 201 through 211,[1] provided that the Board of Supervisors may assign to said Commission such other duties as it may deem appropriate which are not inconsistent with the powers and duties provided by said Code.

The Commission shall not have the power to obligate the township or expend township funds without the expressed consent, in writing, of the Board of Supervisors.
All acts of the existing Planning Commission done heretofore are hereby expressly approved, ratified and confirmed in all respects.

Except for elected or appointed officers or employees of the Township, members of the Planning Commission may receive compensation in an amount fixed by the Board of Supervisors. The compensation shall not exceed the rate of compensation authorized to paid to the Board of Supervisors. Without exception, members of the Planning Commission may be reimbursed for necessary and reasonable expenses.
