[Adopted 9-24-1975 (Sec. 4:7 of the 1975 General Ordinances)]
A certain plan entitled "Tabulation of Existing House Number, Assigned New Numbers, and Unnumbered Houses Assigned Numbers," of which at least three copies have been placed on file in the office of the Township Clerk in accordance with procedures set by state statute, is hereby adopted as the official house numbering system for the Township of Burlington and said proposal is incorporated within the provisions of this article as if set forth at length.
The effective date of the official use of the house numbering system shall be July 1, 1976.
The house numbers shall be:
A. 
Numerals;
B. 
Clearly visible from the street;
C. 
Six inches in height; and
D. 
In a color that contrasts with the background color.

The painting of house numbers on curbs located in Burlington Township shall be done in accordance with the following standards:
A. 
The type of paint shall be background white highway traffic paint.
B. 
The address shall be sized at four inches and shall be painted in black enamel paint.
C. 
The numbers shall be located on the apron.
D. 
If a house faces in a different direction than the street address, the number shall be placed on the street of the legal street address.
