The Public Works Department of the Township of Burlington is hereby designated as the enforcement official of the Township of Burlington.

It is made the duty of the owner, tenant or occupier of abutting or adjacent lands to the highways to remove all weeds, grasses, shrubs and other material obstructing the highways, streets and alleys of said Township.
All weeds, grasses, shrubs and other obstructions shall be removed on or before the first days of May or September in each year.
The purpose of granting the time of removing shrubs, grass and weeds, etc. in § 520-4 is that bushes, shrubs, trees, or undergrowth can be removed during the fall, winter and spring before the first day of May and grass or weeds later in the season and before the first of September.[1]
