§ 241-49 Connection charge. [1]

The town shall make a charge as set by resolution of the Town Board from time to time for permission to connect a house connection sewer to a public sewer at a point where no special Y or T has been previously installed. Connection charges to public sewers shall be made in accordance with the ordinance in effect.

§ 241-50 Administration of provisions.

The Engineer and the Building Inspector shall administer the provisions of this chapter unless otherwise specified herein and, for such purpose, shall have the powers of a peace officer.

§ 241-51 Delegation of powers.

Whenever a power is granted to or a duty is imposed upon the Engineer or any other public officer, the power may be exercised or the duty may be performed by a deputy of said officer or a person authorized by said officer.

§ 241-52 Granting of exceptions to requirements.

The Engineer or the Building Inspector may grant an exception to any requirement of this chapter if he finds that literal compliance with such provision is impossible or impracticable because of peculiar conditions in no way the fault of the person requesting such exception and that the purposes of this chapter will be accomplished and public safety secured by an alternative construction or procedure.

§ 241-53 Exemption.

Sewage treatment plants and sewage pump plants under the jurisdiction of a county sewer district are exempted from all the provisions of this chapter.
