Smoking is prohibited in the indoor area of any building owned or under the control of the Village of Mamaroneck in which employees of the Village perform services, and in outdoor areas within 40 feet of any entrance or exit of any such building. Smoking is prohibited in any vehicle owned or operated by the Village of Mamaroneck.

Conflicts should be brought to the attention of the appropriate supervisory personnel. Employees may also file a formal complaint with the Westchester County Department of Health.

Employees found smoking in any prohibited area identified in § 290-1 will be considered in violation of this policy and may be subject to penalties.
Copies of these rules will be posted and distributed to all employees and to all prospective employees upon request.
The Fire Inspector shall be designated as agent to assist in the enforcement of this policy by notifying employees who are in violation.
This policy may be amended from time to time by resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mamaroneck. All amendments shall be in conformance with the New York State law, and employees will be notified accordingly.
