It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, association or corporation
to dig, remove, carry away, or cause to be dug, removed or carried away, any
stone, earth, sand or gravel from any public street, highway, sidewalk or
public place in the Village of Rockville Centre, without a written permit
from the Department of Public Works.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, association or corporation
to dig, remove, carry away, or cause to be dug, removed or carried away, any
stone, earth, sand or gravel from any location in the Village, including private
property, without a written permit from the Department of Public Works, except
where the digging, removing and carrying away is in connection with an excavation
made under a valid building permit[1] for construction of a building by the Department of Public Works.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be
liable for and pay a penalty not exceeding $25 for each offense. Any violation
of this chapter or any part thereof shall constitute disorderly conduct, and
the person so violating shall be and is hereby declared a disorderly person.
