Every vehicle operated upon the streets of the
Village as a taxicab or limousine shall be kept clean, sanitary, fit
and of good appearance and in a safe condition for the transportation
of passengers.
All taxicabs and limousines licensed hereunder
shall be inspected at least once in every three months by a New York
State licensed motor vehicle inspection station and a certificate
of such inspection showing compliance with all state safety inspection
rules, which certificate must be filed with the Village Clerk. Such
certificate must be properly signed and stamped in accordance with
the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Inspection Law of the
State of New York. Unless such certificate is furnished as herein
required, the license for such taxicab or limousine shall stand suspended
until such time as such taxicab or limousine is placed in proper condition
and such certificate thereof is filed with the Village Clerk.
