Northumberland County, VA Chapter 118 Septic Systems

§ 118-1 Permit required.

A Northumberland County permit is required for installation of septic tanks and drainfields or other private sewage disposal systems.

§ 118-2 Application for permit.

Application for such permit shall be in writing on forms provided for that purpose and made available at the Northumberland County Health Department and at the office of the Northumberland County Building Inspector.

§ 118-3 Application fee.

A fee as set forth in the Fee Schedule[1] shall accompany the application. No fee shall be required for an application for the repair of an existing system. The fee shall not be refundable in any case.
