The provisions of Ch. 346, Wis. Stats., related to maximum and minimum speed of vehicles, incorporated by reference in Article I hereof, shall be applicable to all highways and streets in the Village of Shorewood. The maximum permissible speed on all streets in the Village of Shorewood shall be 25 miles per hour, except as hereinafter modified.
A. 
Lake Drive, Wilson Drive, Capitol Drive, and Downer Avenue. The maximum permissible speed on North Lake Drive, North Wilson Drive, East Capitol Drive from North Oakland Avenue to the west Village limits, and North Downer Avenue from East Edgewood Avenue to East Capitol Drive shall be 30 miles per hour.
B. 
Alleys, roads, driveways and parking areas. The maximum permissible speed in any alley or on any road or driveway, or in any parking area serving any public or parochial school, religious institution, or public park grounds or buildings, shall be 15 miles per hour.
C. 
Standard speed traffic signs. Standard speed traffic signs shall be posted in appropriate locations giving notice of the speed limit as required by law.
