In addition to any exemption provided for any veterans in Article III of this chapter, an additional exemption of $16,670 on the real property valuation or a reduction of $4,000 on the motor vehicle valuation for any veterans of the military or naval services of the United States who have been or who shall be classified or determined to be a prisoner of foreign war by the Veterans Administration of the United States shall be granted. Such exemption shall be granted upon due evidence that he or she is so entitled.

The exemption authorized in § 363-24 hereof shall be in addition to any other exemption provided by law.
The Tax Assessor of the City of Pawtucket and/or his agent shall be the only authorized person to grant said exemption.
