In accordance with Section 19-395 of the Connecticut General Statutes,[1] the State of Connecticut Basic Building Code is hereby adopted as the Building Code of the Town, for the purpose of regulating and controlling the construction of buildings and structures, as provided therein, and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of the Building Code and Section 19-395 of the Connecticut General Statutes are hereby incorporated and adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this article.

The Town may, from time to time, amend any portion of the State Basic Building Code by regulation or ordinance duly considered and acted on in accordance with the provisions of state and local laws applicable thereto.
