§ 197-15 Removal by owner, lessee, tenant or occupant required.

Within 12 hours of daybreak after ice or snow has accumulated on the sidewalk of any property in Ventnor City, whether it be improved or unimproved, the owner, lessee, tenant or occupant thereof shall cause the same to be removed.

§ 197-16 Removal by City; charges as assessment.

If said ice or snow shall not be removed within that time by the persons hereby charged with the duty of removal, it may be removed by the department of the City having charge of the cleaning of streets therein, and the cost thereof, computed as nearly as may be, shall be certified by the Commissioners in charge of the Committee on Streets to the Board of Assessors, who shall cause the same to be charged as an additional assessment against the property, to be collected in the same manner as other taxes and assessments.
