The purpose of this chapter is to authorize those officials designated
herein to issue and serve appearance tickets in connection with the violations
of state statutes, local laws, ordinances, rules or regulations of the town.
The following officials of the Town of Hamptonburgh are hereby authorized
to issue and serve appearance tickets with respect to violations of state
statute, local laws, ordinances, rules or regulations of the Town of Hamptonburgh:
the Town Building Inspector, the Town Dog Control Officer and the duly appointed
Town Constable.
An appearance ticket shall be served by first class mail, unless otherwise
required by any applicable law, statute, rule or regulation.
