§ 106-1 Operation of vehicles restricted.

It shall be unlawful for anyone to operate a motorcycle, minibike, snowmobile, or any other type of motor vehicle on the sidewalks, footpaths, parks, or property belonging to anyone other than the operator or driver of such motor vehicle unless said operation is upon property of another with the written permission of said owner.

§ 106-2 Use authorized for best interests of Township.

The Chief of Police, Township Manager, or their designates may authorize use of such motor vehicles when so determined to be in the best interests of the Township.

§ 106-3 Certain equipment exempted.

This chapter shall not apply to the operation of lawn cutting equipment or snow removal equipment.

§ 106-4 Violations and penalties. [1]

Any person who violates or permits a violation of this chapter shall, upon conviction in a summary proceeding brought before a District Justice under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure, be guilty of a summary offense and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000, plus costs of prosecution. In default of payment thereof, the defendant may be sentenced to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days. Each day or portion thereof that such violation continues or is permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense, and each section of this chapter that is violated shall also constitute a separate offense.
