Any person violating any provision of this article may, upon
conviction, be punished for the first offense by a fine not exceeding
$10 and for the second offense by a fine of not less than $10 nor
more than $25 or by imprisonment for not less than two nor more than
15 days. The third or any subsequent offense within one year shall
be punishable by a fine not exceeding $100 or imprisonment not exceeding
six months, or both such fine and imprisonment.
