The fire apparatus of the Borough shall be loaned to the Lansdowne Fire Company, provided that said company shall first provide a suitable apartment for housing and storing the apparatus and shall at all times hold the same subject to the inspection of the Council or its authorized agents and shall, upon the direction of said Council by resolution, return the apparatus to the Council or according to the directions of said Council and shall also be responsible for the care of said apparatus and pay for any damage to it occasioned other than by ordinary wear and tear.
Without the consent of the Council, the fire apparatus of the Borough shall not be taken outside of the Borough limits except to assist in the extinguishment of fires in the immediate neighborhood.

It shall be the duty of the Public Safety Committee of the Council to inspect all fire apparatus and appliances belonging to the Borough at least three times a year and make report of their inspection to the Council.
