[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Wilkinsburg 5-20-1991 as Ord. No. 2377. Amendments noted where applicable.]
All ordinances pertaining to the establishment of rules and regulations
and adoptions of the BOCA National Mechanical Code/1987 are hereby affirmed
and accepted as part of the Borough of Wilkinsburg's Land Regulation and Building
Codes. The borough hereby adopts the BOCA National Mechanical Code/1987, as
amended.
All permits issued shall be required as set forth in the BOCA National
Mechanical Code/1987, as amended and adopted by the Borough of Wilkinsburg,
if otherwise lawful, shall be issued by the Building Code Official as set
forth herein. Said Official shall issue the permits in accordance with the
fee schedule herein set forth.
All permits granted pursuant to the BOCA National Mechanical Code/1987
or other authority for issuing permits shall have a time limit consistent
with the BOCA National Mechanical Code/1987 accepted as set forth herein;
provided further that any permit granted for demolition or razing work shall
be for six (6) months only, and if, during that period, the work authorized
is not completed, any bond posted by the applicant shall be forfeited.
All fees as set forth in this chapter shall be due and payable at the time any application is accepted and any bond required herein, or otherwise shall be posted with the Borough of Wilkinsburg prior to the issuance of any permit, as set forth in Ch. A266, Fees.
All fees for said permits shall be in accordance with Ch. A266, Fees.
All persons, firms and/or corporation shall, upon conviction of violations
of provisions of this chapter, pay a fine of not less than one hundred dollars
($100.) or more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.), and in default of payment
thereof shall serve a period of up to thirty (30) days imprisonment.
