An agency is hereby created and established within the City of Cohoes, New York, which shall be known as the "Central Relocation Agency."
The Agency is charged with the development of plans and programs to effect the orderly relocation of individuals, families and businesses, in the City of Cohoes, in conjunction with projects financed pursuant to Section 11(b) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 and involving housing assistance payments contracts pursuant to Section 8 of the Act, and shall undertake the administration of all activities associated with such projects and programs of new construction or substantial rehabilitation.
The Agency shall consist of five members, all of which shall be appointed by the Mayor of the City of Cohoes and who shall serve for a term of one year. The Mayor shall designate one of the members as Chairman and he shall so serve at the pleasure of the Mayor.
