No City policeman, in the course of his employment, shall exercise any authority whatsoever as a police officer of the City of Cohoes, New York, beyond the boundaries of the City of Cohoes, except:
A. 
When following in hot pursuit a person or persons who have committed a crime, offense or violation within the limits of the City of Cohoes, New York.
B. 
When specifically authorized, either by the Commissioner of Public Safety or the Chief of Police, to undertake the particular duty which will require the police officer to operate beyond such territorial limits of the City, provided that the authorized duty is actually within the scope of such police officer's normal duties within the City of Cohoes, New York.
C. 
When such officer, being actually without the territorial limits of the City of Cohoes, New York, is directed or deputized by a duly authorized police officer of another community to assist him in duties ordinarily required of said deputized officer within his own community.
For the purposes of this article, "lawful exercise of police powers" are deemed those delineated under § 2 of Chapter 886 of the Laws of New York for 1962.
