A. 
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
FOOD AND BEVERAGE AND MERCHANDISE VENDING MACHINE CODE OF NEW JERSEY
That certain code approved by the State Department of Health for adoption by reference in accordance with law, being a code:
(1) 
Regulating the use, operation and maintenance of food and beverage vending machines and licensing thereof.
(2) 
Prohibiting the sale or the possession with intent to sell through vending machines of adulterated or misbranded foods or drinks.
(3) 
Authorizing inspection of vending machines and operations connected therewith.
MERCHANDISE VENDING MACHINES
Any coin-operated device that dispenses any type of merchandise, with or without eatable and/or chewable products.
B. 
Whenever the following words, terms and phrases are used in the Food and Beverage and Merchandise Vending Machine Code of New Jersey, they shall have the following meanings herein given:
BOARD OF HEALTH
The Camden County Health Department.
HEALTH AUTHORITY
The Board of Health or its authorized representative.

MUNICIPALITY
The City of Camden.
A. 
Pursuant to and in accordance with the Public Health and Sanitation Codes Adoption by Reference Act (N.J.S.A. 26:3-69.1 to 26:3-69.6), there is hereby established and adopted as the Food and Beverage Vending Machine Code of the City the whole of the Food and Beverage and Merchandise Vending Machine Code of New Jersey (1961). A printed copy of said code is annexed to and incorporated by reference in the ordinance passed on December 27, 1962, adopting said code.[1]

B. 
The Food and Beverage and Merchandise Vending Machine Code of New Jersey (1961) is hereby incorporated in this chapter by reference and made a part hereof as fully as though it had been set forth at length herein.

In accordance with law, the required number of printed copies of the Food and Beverage and Merchandise Vending Machine Code of New Jersey (1961) have been placed on file in the office of the Division of Inspections and shall remain on file in said office for the use and examination of the public so long as this chapter shall remain in effect.

It shall be unlawful for any person, as defined in § 485-1 to engage in the activity identified and regulated by this chapter, without first having obtained a license therefor and paid the fee required for such license, both as provided in Chapter 485, Licenses and Business Regulations. Any person engaging in such activity who shall fail to comply with any provision of this chapter or of Chapter 485 shall be in violation of the provisions of this chapter.

A. 
Unless otherwise provided in the chapter, penalties against persons violating the provisions of this chapter shall be imposed in accordance with the provisions of § 1-15.

B. 
A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each and every day for each and every violation of this chapter.
C. 
A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation or violations occur or continue.
D. 
The imposition of a fine or imprisonment as punishment for a violation of any provision of this chapter shall not be deemed to be in lieu of any provision of this chapter or of Chapter 485 providing for revocation or suspension of any license issued under this chapter and Chapter 485.
