City of Clifton, New Jersey, 1960]
As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
Include fresh chopped or ground beef, with or without the
addition of beef fat as such or of seasoning.
Includes corporation, company, association, society, firm,
partnership and joint companies as well as individuals.
Includes chopped or ground fresh pork, with or without the
addition of fat and with or without one or more of the following:
herbs, spices, common salt, sugar, dextrose, syrup or water.
No person shall sell, distribute or possess
with intent to sell or distribute hamburger, chopped meat, ground
meat, chopped or ground beef or meat patties when the same contain
more than 30% of beef fat.
No person shall sell, distribute or possess
with intent to sell or distribute pork sausage when the same contains
more than 50% of fat.
Any person who violates any provision of this
article, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not
exceeding $100 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 30 days,
or both. On a second or subsequent conviction, such person shall be
punished by a fine not exceeding $200 or by imprisonment for a term
not exceeding 90 days, or both.
