[Adopted 12-1-1970 by Ord. No. 4021-70 (Subarticle I of Article 7A of Chapter 32 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Clifton, New Jersey, 1960); amended in its entirety 7-17-1973 by Ord. No. 4170-73]
Between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Monday through Saturday, it shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle for a period of time longer than two hours on these certain lots, tracts or parcels of land and premises or any part thereof situated in the City of Clifton, County of Passaic and State of New Jersey, more particularly described as follows:
BOTANY URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT PARKING LOT NO. 1
Beginning at a point on the southerly side of Lake Avenue distant 125 feet westerly from the corner formed by the intersection of the southerly side of Lake Avenue and the westerly side of Parker Avenue, and running thence southerly parallel to Parker Avenue 102.08 feet; thence westerly parallel to Lake Avenue 45 feet more or less; thence southerly at right angles to Highland Avenue 153 feet more or less; thence easterly parallel to Highland Avenue 17.25 feet; thence southerly at right angles to Highland Avenue 97.50 feet to the northerly side of Highland Avenue; thence westerly along the same 101 feet; thence northerly at right angles to Highland Avenue 175 feet; thence easterly parallel to Highland Avenue 37.50 feet; thence northerly at right angles to Lake Avenue 175 feet to the southerly side of Lake Avenue; thence easterly along the same 106.50 feet to the point of beginning.
PARKING LOT NO. 2
Beginning at a point on the southerly side of Center Street distant 158.86 feet westerly from the corner formed by the intersection of the southerly side of Center Street and the westerly side of Parker Avenue, and running thence southerly at right angles to Center Street 80.22 feet to the rear line of lots fronting on the northerly side of Lake Avenue; thence easterly along the same 22.04 feet; thence southerly at right angles to Lake Avenue 113.20 feet to a point on the northerly side of Lake Avenue which is distant 100 feet westerly from the westerly side of Parker Avenue; thence westerly along the northerly side of Lake Avenue 77 feet more or less; thence northerly at right angles to Lake Avenue 109 feet more or less; thence westerly 20 feet more or less; thence northerly at right angles to Center Street 81.27 feet to a point on the southerly side of Center Street which is distant 234.07 feet westerly from the westerly side of Parker Avenue; thence easterly along the southerly side of Center Street 75.21 feet to the place of beginning.
PARKING LOT NO. 3
Beginning at a point on the southerly side of Durant Avenue distant 84.01 feet easterly from the corner formed by the intersection of the southerly side of Durant Avenue and the easterly side of Parker Avenue, and running thence easterly along the southerly side of Durant Avenue 50 feet; thence southerly 100 feet; thence easterly parallel to Durant Avenue 15 feet more or less; thence southerly parallel to Randolph Avenue 206 feet more or less to the rear line of lots fronting on the northerly side of Lake Avenue; thence westerly along the same and parallel to Lake Avenue 16 feet more or less; thence southerly 93 feet to the northerly side of Lake Avenue; thence westerly along the same 50 feet; thence northerly parallel to the sixth course 99.08 feet; thence westerly 23.50 feet; thence northerly parallel to Dayton Avenue 199 feet more or less; thence easterly 24.16 feet; northerly 100 feet to the southerly side of Durant Avenue and place of beginning.
PARKING LOT NO. 4
Beginning at the corner formed by the intersection of the southerly side of Lake Avenue and the easterly side of Dayton Avenue, and running thence easterly along the southerly side of Lake Avenue 201.87 feet; thence southerly parallel to Dayton Avenue 252.31 feet to a point distant 100 feet northerly measured at right angles, from the northerly side of Highland Avenue; thence westerly parallel to Highland Avenue 201.87 feet to the easterly side of Dayton Avenue; thence northerly along the same 252.31 feet to the southerly side of Lake Avenue and place of beginning.
PARKING LOT NO. 5
Beginning at a point in the southerly side of Ackerman Avenue, said point being distant 25.00 feet on a course of south 70º 46' 30" west from a corner formed by the intersection of the southerly side of Ackerman Avenue and the westerly side of Randolph Avenue, and running thence south 19º 13' 30" east, 99.17 feet to a point; thence south 70º 46' 30" west, 34.95 feet to a point; thence south 19º 13' 30" east 0.83 feet to a point; thence south 70º 46' 30" west, 15.05 feet to a point, thence north 19º 13' 30" west, 100.00 feet to a point in the southerly side of Ackerman Avenue; thence along said side of Ackerman Avenue North 70º 46' 30" east, 50.00 feet to the point of beginning, containing 4,971 square feet.
The Chief of Police is hereby directed to have proper signs calling attention to the provisions of this article erected or placed upon said parking lot.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this article shall pay, upon being adjudged guilty, a fine not exceeding $50 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 15 days, or both.
