GENERAL REFERENCES
Uniform construction codes — See Ch. 183.
No security gates shall be installed without prior approval as to design by the Construction Official.
A permit shall be issued by the Construction Official prior to installation of any security gate in accordance with Chapter 183, Construction Codes, Uniform.

Security gates shall be constructed of metal and so finished as not to rust or stain either buildings or sidewalks.
Security gates shall be of an open grill design except that solid panels shall be allowed from the bottom of the security gate up to a maximum of forty-eight (48) inches from the sidewalk.
Any person who fails to comply with § 403-3 or 403-4 of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.), imprisonment not exceeding ninety (90) days or a period of community service for not more than ninety (90) days, or any combination thereof. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
