There shall be a Municipal Court which shall have and exercise the limited
civil and criminal jurisdiction prescribed by law.
The Court shall have:
A.
A Judge who shall be known as the "Judge of the Municipal
Court." He shall be appointed by the Council on January 1 for a term of three
years and possess the qualifications as set forth by law.
B.
A Court Administrator, who shall be appointed by the
Manager, who shall perform the functions assigned by the Judge.
C.
A Violations Clerk, who shall be appointed by the Manager,
who shall perform the functions assigned by the Judge or Court Clerk.
The Council may appoint a Municipal Prosecutor for a term of one year,
as of January 1. He shall, prior to his appointment, have been admitted to
the practice of law in the State of New Jersey. He shall act as prosecuting
attorney in the Municipal Court when so directed by the Manager.
