[Adopted 12-20-1996 by L.L. No. 4-1996]
This article is enacted pursuant to the authority granted to the Town Board pursuant the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York and the Town Law of the State of New York. It is the purpose of this article to regulate parking of vehicles on property owned by the Town of Clarkson.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
CAR POOLS
The sharing of transportation using the Town parking area as a common meeting place.
OFFICIAL TIME STANDARD
Whenever certain hours are named herein or on signs posted to implement this article, they shall mean the time standard which is in current use in this state.
PARK AND RIDE
For the purposes of this article, the owner or occupant of the vehicle is using the public transportation system operated by the Genesee Regional Transportation System and the Town parking is being used as a pickup/drop off point.
SMALL TRUCK
A truck having not more than six wheels and having a capacity of one ton or less.
A. 
No person shall park a vehicle, other than a permitted vehicle, and no person shall park any vehicle during prohibited times upon any of the following parking lots:

B. 
Exceptions. Vehicles larger than permitted herein may park on Town premises for the purposes of making deliveries to the Town of Clarkson.
This article shall be enforced by the Monroe County Sheriff and the New York State Police. In addition, the Code Enforcement Officer of the Town of Clarkson may issue appearance tickets hereunder.
Penalties for violating this article shall be deemed violations and shall be subject to the following fines:
A. 
First violation: not less than $25 nor more than $100.
B. 
Second violation within 12 months: not less than $50 nor more than $150.
C. 
Third and subsequent violation within 12 months: not less than $100 nor more than $200.
