A. 
When any vehicle is parked or abandoned on any highway within this Town, outside of incorporated villages, during a snowstorm, flood, fire or other public emergency which affects that portion of the public highway upon which said vehicle is parked or abandoned, said vehicle may be removed at the direction of a police officer.
B. 
When any vehicle is found unattended on any highway within this Town, outside of incorporated villages, where said vehicle constitutes an obstruction to traffic, said vehicle may be removed at the direction of a police officer.
C. 
When any vehicle is parked or abandoned on any highway within this Town, outside of incorporated villages, where stopping, standing or parking is prohibited, said vehicle may be removed at the direction of a police officer.
A. 
The following areas, from May 15 to and including September 15, are designated as tow-away zones, provided that signs conforming to the New York State Manual of Uniform Traffic Devices are posted at each end of such zones.
(1) 
That portion of road as defined in § 312-37A(2) and (3) (Flying Point Road).
(2) 
That portion of road as defined in § 312-39A(2) and (3) (Tanners Neck Lane and Apaupuck Lane).
(3) 
That portion of road as defined in § 312-39A(1), 500 feet on either side of the White Cap Restaurant.
(4) 
Those portions of Dune Road as defined in §§ 312-39A(1) and 312-40A(12).
(5) 
That portion of road as defined in § 312-40A(9) (both sides of Foster Avenue).

That portion of Lighthouse Road as defined in § 312-40A(20).
(7) 
That portion of road as defined in § 312-20A(15), both sides of Newtown Road.

A. 
The Town Board may, by resolution, designate any area where parking is prohibited herein as a tow-away zone, provided that signs conforming to the New York State Manual of Uniform Traffic Devices are posted at each end of such zone. The following areas are so designated:
(1) 
That portion of County Road No. 80 (Montauk Highway) as defined in § 312-27A(3).
(2) 
That portion of County Road No. 80 (Montauk Highway) as defined in § 312-27A(5).
(3) 
That portion of Cooks Avenue from County Road No. 71 (Mill Road) to County Road No. 80 (Montauk Highway) as defined in § 312-27A(4).
(4) 
That portion of County Road No. 71 (Old Country Road) as defined in § 312-27A(6).
(5) 
That portion of Old Westhampton Road (Lake Road) as defined in § 312-19A(9).
(6) 
That portion of Lakeview Drive as defined in § 312-19A(10).
(7) 
The parking in residential districts as defined in § 312-51.
(8) 
That portion of Sebonac Road (Shrubland Road) as defined in § 312-28A(7).

The owner or other person lawfully entitled to the possession of any such vehicle may be charged with a reasonable cost for removal and storage, payable before the vehicle is released.
The Police Department shall, without delay, report the removal and disposition of any vehicle removed as provided in this article, and it shall be its duty to ascertain to the extent possible the owner of the vehicle or person having the same charge and to notify him of the removal and disposition of such vehicle and of the amount which will be required to redeem the same.
