A. 
The Town Board of the Town of Caledonia, New York, does hereby give and grant an exemption from taxation to the extent of 50% of the assessed valuation thereof on the real property within the municipality owned by one or more persons, each whom is 65 years of age or over.
B. 
The exemption shall be granted to such owner who, as provided by § 467 of the Real Property Tax Law of the State of New York, makes proper and timely application to the Town Assessor.
C. 
The exemption shall be granted only to those persons who qualify within conditions and limitations as provided by § 467 of the Real Property Tax Law.
This article may be canceled and rendered of no effect by the Town Board.

An exemption on real property owned by persons 65 years of age or over who meet the income requirement of $8,500 or less per annum shall be granted.
