Editor's Note: This Sub-Part K was derived from Chapter 704 of the Laws of 1961 of the Legislature of the State of New York.
Notwithstanding the provisions of any general, special or local law, the City of Hornell may, by local law or ordinance, discontinue the use for park, recreational or other public purposes approximately five acres more or less of Maple City Park and convey the same to the Hornell City School District for educational purposes; provided, however, that the real property to be conveyed shall in the local law or ordinance be described by a metes and bounds description and the local law or ordinance shall be subject to the provisions of a permissive referendum contained in § 23 of the General City Law.
This Article shall take effect immediately.
