[HISTORY: Adopted 6-16-1983 by the Board of Selectmen
of the Town of Somers, effective 7-1-1983. Amendments noted

It is hereby established that the Town of Somers adopts the provisions
of Public Act 83-401[1] in its entirety, and each political party may nominate and the
electorate shall be allowed to vote for candidates in accordance with the
provisions of said Public Act.

It is the intention of this chapter to comply with the provisions of
Public Act 83-401 requiring the legislative body to adopt the provision of
that Public Act by ordinance.
