Following each Town biennial election, the Town Council shall appoint
two Town Meeting Moderators, whose terms shall run concurrently with the Town
Council.
Each Moderator shall be of the opposite political parties or one may
be unaffiliated.
The Town Council shall make its appointment giving due consideration
to the experience and ability of the candidates and the candidates' familiarity
with the conduct of public meetings under state and local laws and Roberts
Rules of Order.
The Moderators, when so appointed, may appoint Deputy Moderators to
serve in their absence or disability.
Whenever a Town Meeting is to be held, the Chairman of the Council shall
select the Moderator to serve that particular Town Meeting.
