VOTE appointing a committee on the petition of Joseph Write and others relative to a grant of land (in a place named Cold Spring).

ORDER for a meeting of the inhabitants of Cold Spring.

ORDER empowering the inhabitants of Cold Spring to levy a tax of one penny per acre on all lands.

AN ACT for incorporating the Plantation called Cold Spring into a town by the name of Belcher's Town.

RESOLVE allowing six pounds two shillings and nine pence to the Town of Greenwich. (In this act the Town of Belchertown is referred to as "Belcher-Town.")

AN ACT for apportioning and assessing a tax of 50,000 pounds; also to assess the Town of Belchertown the sum of six pounds two shillings and nine pence, being so much that the Town of Greenwich was taxed, and which should have been laid upon Belchertown.

AN ACT for annexing certain lands lying in the Town of Belchertown in the County of Hampshire, with the inhabitants thereon, to the Town of Greenwich, in the same county. [As originally engrossed the name was Belcherston, but this was changed to Belchertown by inserting "w" with a caret apparently in the handwriting of Governor Hutchinson, wherever the name occurs in the engrossment.]

RESOLVE remitting a fine of 600 pounds laid on the Town of Belchertown for deficiency in men in 1779 and granting them a bounty of 120 pounds.
Chapter 71, 1785
RESOLVE on the petition of Hezekiah Root, Collector of Taxes in the Town of Belchertown, directing the Treasurer to take bonds of the Selectmen of said town for the payment of the money mentioned.

RESOLVE on the petition of Joseph Root, in behalf of Hezekiah Root, authorizing the inhabitants of Belchertown to choose a person to collect the rate bills mentioned and empowering the Assessors in this case.

AN ACT to incorporate the Clapp Memorial Library. (The act includes the following language: "provided, always, that the inhabitants of Belchertown shall have free use of said library under suitable and proper rules." The act also established a corporation of seven members, "of whom the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen for the time being shall always be a member ex officio.")

AN ACT increasing the amount of money the Town of Belchertown may borrow to install water mains in the water district within said town. (Amends Chapter 258 of the Acts of 1987 and states that the town may appropriate $102,000.)

AN ACT providing for the establishment and administration of rent regulations and the control of evictions in mobile home park accommodations in the Town of Belchertown. (The act empowered the town, through bylaw, to regulate rents for the use or occupancy of mobile park accommodations.)

AN ACT relative to the licensing and keeping of dogs in the Town of Belchertown. (Empowers the town to keep dog-related revenue, instead of paying it to Hampshire County. The act vests the responsibility for licensing, etc., in the office of the Town Clerk.)
