No person, firm or corporation shall sell, offer for sale, hold in possession
with intent to sell, exchange or deliver any milk or cream in the Town of
Groton unless such milk or cream is certified, according to MGL C. 180, §§ 20
to 25, inclusive, or pasteurized as provided for in MGL C. 94, § 1.
This rule shall not apply to milk intended to be delivered for the purpose
of pasteurization. No milk offered for sale shall be pasteurized more than
once.
This regulation shall become effective January 1, 1958.

Provisions of MGL C. 180 and MGL C. 94 and the Rules and Regulations
Relative to Establishing Grades of Milk as promulgated by the Milk Regulation
Board and the Groton Board of Health Milk Regulation, effective January 1,
1958,[1] apply to "milk," the term relating to the lacteal secretion of
cows, but not specifically excluding goats and other commercially exploitable
mammals. As in the United States Public Health Service Milk Ordinance and
Code, the word "milk" in the above-cited statutes and regulations is and shall
be interpreted to include goat's milk.
