Editor's Note: This chapter was derived from Sections 4.51, 4.52 and 5.05 of the Town of Yarmouth Bylaws. Section 4.51 was originally adopted 2-8-1944. Section 4.52 was originally adopted 4-8-1975. Section 5.05 was originally adopted in 1915 and amended 4-9-1974.
The Collector of Taxes shall collect, under the title of Town Collector, all accounts due the Town, as per Chapter 41, Section 38A, of the Annotated Laws of Massachusetts.
All fees received by the Collector of Taxes by virtue of such office shall be paid into the Town treasury.
The Collector shall, on the first secular day of each month, and as often as the amount in said Collector's hands reaches the sum of $500 or upwards, pay over to the Town Treasurer all taxes collected and shall, on or before the 30th day of June in each year, make up an annual account and render the same to the Selectmen and pay to the Town Treasurer all the money in said Collector's possession due the Town.
