[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Medford 11-7-1956 by Ord. No. 1956-10. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Use of motorboats, outboard motors and other mechanical propulsion of boats, canoes or similar craft is dangerous and hazardous to the persons and properties of others, and the use thereof along any stream or watercourse in the Township of Medford is hereby prohibited, except motors driven entirely by use of electric storage batteries.
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to any municipal, state, police, fire, emergency or maintenance boat or craft.
The use of any boats, canoes or other craft recklessly or carelessly or in such manner as to endanger the person or property of others is hereby prohibited.

Any person, firm, partnership or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of not more than $500 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or both.
