Pursuant to § 15.2-1613.1 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, there is hereby assessed a processing fee of $25 on any individual admitted to the Page County Jail following conviction of an offense. This fee shall be ordered as a part of the court costs of the individual and collected by the Clerk of the court in which the individual was convicted. This fee shall be deposited into the account of the Treasurer of Page County and shall be used by the Sheriff's Department of Page County to defray the costs of processing arrested persons.

Pursuant to authority of § 53.1-120(D), Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, and effective from July 1, 2007, as provided by Virginia law, there shall be assessed the sum of $10 as part of the costs in each criminal or traffic case in the Circuit or District Courts located within the boundaries of the County of Page, Virginia, in which the defendant is charged with a violation of any statute or ordinance. The assessment provided herein shall be collected by the Clerk of the court in which the case is heard, remitted to the Treasurer of Page County and held by the Treasurer to be appropriated by the governing body to the Sheriff's Office. The assessment shall be used solely for the funding of courthouse security personnel, and, if requested by the Sheriff, equipment and other personal property used in connection with courthouse security.
