This chapter shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law for the Town of Niagara."
The following terms shall have the meanings designated below:
AUTHORIZED ORGANIZATION
The meaning as set forth in Article 9-A, § 186, Subdivision 4, of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, as amended.
BOARD
The New York State Racing and Wagering Board.
GAMES OF CHANCE
The meaning set forth in Article 9-A, § 186, Subdivision 3, of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, as amended.
TOWN BOARD
The Town Board of the Town of Niagara.
Authorized organizations may, upon obtaining a license from the Town Clerk, conduct games of chance within the territorial limits of the Town of Niagara as is authorized by Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, as amended, and this chapter.
The conduct of games of chance shall be subject to the restrictions as are imposed by Article 9-A, § 189 of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, as amended.
No games of chance may be conducted on the first day of the week, commonly known and designated as "Sunday." Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions of this section, no games of chance shall be conducted on Easter Sunday, Christmas Day or New Year's Eve.
The Chief of Police of the Town of Niagara shall exercise control and supervision over all games of chance conducted under this chapter as is provided under Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.
