This chapter shall be known as the "Annexation of Certain Territory
Situated in the Town of Lloyd to the Town of Plattekill Law of the Town of
Plattekill" and shall apply to the territory hereinafter described.
The purpose of this chapter shall be to provide for the annexation of
certain territory presently located in the Town of Lloyd and adjoining the
Town of Plattekill so that said territory shall henceforth be located within
the Town of Plattekill, all pursuant to Article 17 of the General Municipal
Law of the State of New York.
Unless the context otherwise requires, the following definitions shall
be used in the interpretation and construction of this chapter:
The alteration of the boundaries of a town which has the effect of
adding territory to it. Such term shall not include the creation or dissolution
of the town or the consolidation of two or more towns or the diminuation of
the area of a village pursuant to § 18-1804 of the Village Law.
The Town Board, as vested by state statute, charter or other law,
with jurisdiction to initiate and enact ordinances or local laws.
The territory hereinafter described and presently situated in the Town
of Lloyd and bordering the Town of Plattekill shall hereinafter be annexed
to and become a part of the Town of Plattekill for all purposes:

Beginning at a point, said point being on the southerly
line of the Mullinder Patent, said point being south 55° 38' 46"
east 2685.30 feet from the southwest corner of said Patent, it being at the
intersection point of the Town of Plattekill and Town of Lloyd and on the
division line with the Town of Gardiner, and running thence from the place
of beginning and generally along the division line of lands of Eichler, Eichler
and Scordino with lands of John J. Schreiber north 27° 12' 20" east
447.89 feet; thence still along said division line and also generally along
the southerly bounds of lands of Barraco, south 57° 04' 15" east
2279.52 feet to the center of Route 44/55; thence through Route 44/55 south
6° 43' 55" east 323.79 feet; thence generally along the division
line of lands of Oliver T. Byrne and lands of Cangelosi south 55° 38'
46" east 2787.97 feet to the division line of the Town of Lloyd and Plattekill
as determined by D. W. Ostrander in 1892.
