For the purpose of these regulations, certain
words and terms used herein are defined as follows:
The maps or drawings accompanying a subdivision plat and
showing the specific location and design of improvements to be installed
in the subdivision in accordance with the requirements of the Planning
Board as a condition to the approval of said plat.
Authorization by a property owner for the use by another
and for a specified purpose of any designated part of this property.
A comprehensive plan for development of the village prepared
and adopted by the Planning Board, pursuant to § 7-722 of
the Village Law, and includes any part of such plan separately adopted
and any amendment to such plan or parts thereof.

The map established by the Board of Trustees, under § 7-724
of the Village Law, showing the streets, highways and parks theretofore
laid out, adopted and established by law, and any amendments or additions
thereto adopted by the Board of Trustees or additions thereto resulting
from the approval of subdivision plats by the Planning Board and the
subsequent filing of such approved plats.

The date on which a subdivision plat is officially submitted to the Planning Board, pursuant to § 7-728 of the Village Law, and is hereby defined as the date of the next regular meeting of the Planning Board following completion of the application procedure outlined in § 232-23 of these regulations. If a meeting is not called within 30 days of completion of such procedure, the "official submittal date" shall be considered to be the expiration date of such thirty-day period.

Subdivision plat; see definition in these regulations.
The Village Planning Board.
The preliminary drawing or drawings, described in § 232-22 of these regulations, indicating the proposed manner or layout of the subdivision to be submitted to the Planning Board for its consideration.
Includes streets, roads, avenues, lanes or other ways.
A street which serves or is designed to serve as an access
to abutting commercial or industrial properties.
A street or a portion of a street with only one vehicular
traffic outlet.
A street intended to serve primarily as an access to abutting
residential properties.
A street which is used primarily as a route for traffic between
communities or large areas.
The wearing or exposed surface of the roadway used by vehicular
traffic, excluding curbs or gutters.
The distance between property lines measured at right angles
to the center line of the street.
A street which serves or is designed to carry traffic from
local residential streets to the system of major streets.
Any person, firm, corporation, partnership or association
who or which shall lay out, for the purpose of sale or development,
any subdivision or part thereof, as defined herein.
The division of any parcel of land into two or more lots,
plots, sites or other divisions of land for the purpose, whether immediate
or future, of transfer of ownership or building development and shall
include resubdivision.
The final map or drawing, described in § 232-23 of these regulations, on which the subdivider's plan of subdivision is presented to the Planning Board for approval and which, if approved, may be submitted to the County Clerk for recording.
The officially adopted Zoning Law of the village, together
with any and all amendments thereto.[1]
