Two positions of special policemen are hereby established for the Town
of Brutus. The Town Board, in its discretion, may appoint special policemen
to fill any or all of the positions established by this chapter.
Such special policemen shall be appointed by resolution of the Town
Board in accordance with the provisions of § 158 of the Town Law.
Such special policemen shall serve at the pleasure of the Town Board and shall
have the same powers and authority conferred upon special policemen by § 158
of the Town Law. Compensation for such special policemen shall be fixed, from
time to time, by the Town Board within the limits of appropriations provided
therefor.
This chapter supersedes Subdivision 1 of § 158 of the Town
Law with respect to the number of special policemen appointed.
