It shall be unlawful to throw, shovel or plow snow into or upon any roads and streets within the Township from adjoining property.

A. 
The owner, occupant or tenant of any property fronting upon or alongside any of the streets in the Township shall remove or cause to be removed from the sidewalks in front of or alongside his or her property all snow and ice thereon fallen or formed, within 10 hours after such snow and ice have ceased to fall or form. However, snow or ice that has ceased to fall or form after 6:00 p.m. may be removed at any time before 11:00 a.m. of the next day. Responsibility for compliance with this section shall lie with the owner of property where such property is occupied by such owner or is unoccupied; with the tenant or occupier thereof where such property is occupied by such tenant or occupier only; and with the owner thereof where the property is a multiple-business or multifamily dwelling property occupied by more than one tenant or occupier.
B. 
If such owner, occupant or tenant fails, neglects or refuses to comply with Subsection A hereof within the time limits prescribed therein, the Township may proceed immediately to clear all snow and/or ice from the sidewalk of such delinquent and to collect the expense thereof, with any additional amount allowed by law, from such owner, occupant or tenant, which may be in addition to any fine or penalty imposed under this chapter.

Any owner, person or persons, association, corporation or other legal entity violating any of the provisions of this article shall be subject to a criminal fine not to exceed $1,000 per violation and imprisonment of such person or persons or the members of such association or the offices of such corporation or other legal entity responsible for such violation in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility to the extent allowed by law for the punishment of summary offenses. Enforcement of any such violations shall be by action brought before a District Justice in the same manner provided for the enforcement of summary offenses under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure.
