No new building erected on any street or way,
public or private, shall be given any occupancy permit until said
building shall have been assigned a house or building number by the
Board of Assessors and the owner or other occupant thereof has affixed
the same to the building in a conspicuous manner.

If, by placing the number on the house, the
number is not easily read from the street, then the number must be
placed on a stake or similar structure near the street at the edge
of the driveway leading to the house.

This chapter shall be enforced by the Fire Chief.
