Appointment for a full term to this position pursuant to § 3-312
of the Village Law, as amended, shall be made by the Mayor, subject to confirmation
of the Board of Trustees. The term of office shall be two years. In the event
of a vacancy, the Mayor shall appoint a person to serve for the unexpired
time.
The powers and duties of the office of Village Clerk are those as set
forth in Article 4 of the Village Law, and all amendments thereto, and all
other powers and duties as are required by the laws of the State of New York
and all amendments thereto.
Nothing herein contained shall be deemed or construed as abolishing,
transferring or curtailing any powers or duties of the Board of Trustees or
of the Mayor, Treasurer or Attorney as prescribed by the Village Law or other
applicable laws of the State of New York.
