[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Rouses Point 3-1-1949 as Ch. XIX of Ordinances of the Village of Rouses Point. Amendments noted where applicable.]
GENERAL REFERENCES
Penalties for offenses — See Ch. 1, § 1-13.
No person or corporation shall cut, mutilate, injure or destroy any tree in any street or public place, between the walk and road, in the Village of Rouses Point except upon permission of the Board of Trustees and under the direction of the Superintendent of Public Works of said Village. The Superintendent of Public Works is hereby authorized to permit under his direction and supervision the trimming of such shade trees.
No person or corporation shall plant a tree or trees in any street or public place, between the walk and the road, except under the direction and authority of the Board of Trustees of said Village. Poplars, willows and such other varieties of trees as the Board of Trustees of said Village shall decide as undesirable shade trees shall not be planted, and the trees shall be spaced far enough apart to allow for ample growth.
No person or corporation shall erect any telegraph, telephone or electric line poles upon the streets or public grounds of the Village of Rouses Point except at such place or places as the Board of Trustees of said Village shall authorize or direct, and no person or corporation shall string any wire or wires upon any street or public grounds of the Village of Rouses Point or upon, over or in front of any building therein except at such place or places as the Board of Trustees shall authorize or direct. The Superintendent of Public Works may by resolution be authorized to issue permits for the erection of such poles or for the stringing of such wires.
