[Adopted 1-9-2001 by ordinance (Res. No. 47-2001) (§ 32.5.4 of the 1975 Municipal Code)]
No person shall throw or place any litter or other material, including but not limited to, refuse, paper, trash, glass, nails, tacks, wire, bottles, grass clippings, concrete, blacktop, earthen fill, garbage, containers, or any other debris in the Chapel Park Waterway or any part of Mountain View Creek. Any person who deposits any of the above shall remove it or shall cause it to be removed within 24 hours of notification by the Town of Southport or its agents.
Nothing contained herein shall be construed as preventing the Town of Southport or its agents from placing blacktop fill or other material in doing those acts necessary in maintaining the Chapel Park Waterway and Mountain View Creek.
Any violation of this article shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article III, General Penalty, of the Code of the Town of Southport.
