A. For the purposes of this article, a roller vehicle
shall be considered any skateboard, street skates, roller skates,
scooter, coaster, sled and/or big wheels.
B. No person shall operate a roller vehicle upon any
public street within the Borough.
C. Roller vehicles may be operated upon sidewalks within
the Borough; provided, however, that the person operating said roller
vehicle shall do so in a safe and responsible manner and shall always
yield the right-of-way to pedestrians.
D. No person shall operate a roller vehicle upon any
private parking lot or other private parking facility without the
express consent of the owner or a responsible agent for such owner.
E. Any person who violates or who permits the violation
of this section shall be liable, upon summary conviction thereof,
to fines and penalties of $10 plus all costs of prosecution for a
first offense; $25 for a second offense plus all costs of prosecution;
and not less than $50 nor more than $600 plus all costs of prosecution
for a third or subsequent offense, which fines and penalties may be
collected as provided by law. All fines and penalties collected for
violation of this section shall be paid over to the Borough Treasurer.
