[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Glocester 10-20-1994 (Ch. III, § 2, 3-02-02, of the 1991 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
Whenever a major capital construction project shall be planned, a Building/Project Committee shall be formed consisting of five qualified electors appointed by the Town Council to be responsible for the planning and supervision of all such construction. The Building/Project Committee shall be formed for no other purpose and shall assume its duties immediately after the appropriation or acquisition of funds for the preliminary planning of a project, and shall continue in office during its construction and until formal acceptance by the Town, or until discharged by the vote of the Council.
The Board, by consensus, suggests to the Council that members of any such committee be sought through advertising in local papers; that the committee be required to follow Town Procurement Policy; that the Council be kept informed of progress; and that the Finance Director be kept up-to-date on project scheduling.
